Tygart Lake State Park
Tygart Lake State Park is located at Grafton off Rt. 50. WV calls it a lodge/resort park. They have a lodge and very nice cabins. The lake is 11 miles long and formed by a dam on the north end. All this was constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers in the 30's for flood control. Activities include boating, swimming, hiking and picnicing. We used this park as a home base to visit Prickett's Fort and Valley Falls State Parks. One could easily use it as a base to reach Audra or Cathedral State Parks. Restaurant
The spacious lodge restaurant offers panoramic views of the waterfront, a variety of mouth-watering entrees,and will comfortably seat up to 100 guests for meals. The restaurant can cater banquets and receptions for special groups such as business meetings, family reunions and weddings. Dinner theaters are also scheduled throughout the year.

Picnic Shelter
Our picnic shelter is perfect for family reunions, family outings, catered functions, parties, cookouts and are available for reservation during the summer season. Reservations are recommended for summer weekends and holidays.

Two gift shops are located on Tygart Lake State Park. The Lodge Gift Shop and the gift shop at the park office are open daily during the parks operating season. Both gift shops offer a variety of souvenirs, t-shirts, toys, jewelry, West Virginia Glass, crafts and other items.
